Empty A

What if the alphabet were hiding in plain sight? “The Empty Alphabet”— is a wordless interactive ABC picture book for ages 3–7 in which every letter is revealed through the negative space between animals, objects, and other elements beginning with that same letter. Rather than simply telling young readers that “A is for alligator,” alligators and other elements create an A in the empty space between them. Each illustration is a visual riddle: children identify the objects, connect them to their shared letter, and then discover that very letter hiding in the middle of the page.
